The “Chambray” Air Jordan 7 released back in 2006, a time in sneaker history where one could reasonably expect to be able to purchase a shoe on release day, without the anger-inducing rigamarole of the current day. Jordan Brand is bringing them back in 2023 and initial images of the upcoming version have come to light and they are a bit of a letdown.
Rather than the white-edges of the original , Jordan Brand opted to black out the entire upper , which strips the version of the character that its forbear possessed. The shape seems bulkier and more boot-like. Chambray shows up on the Jumpman on the lateral ankle , AIR JORDAN” on the tongue and inner with a grey pull tab.
Underneath resides a grey and chambray accented black midsole and a multi-hued outsole.
